Had dinner here tonight with a small group. Choices were fish fry or pizza. I had a very good small pizza along with a couple of Sprecher beers from the cooler. They also have a nice selection of wines and beer to take home, as well as cheese, milk and many other items you might need. Great little place sort of out in the boonies...give them a try!

This is a small grocery store and restaurant. Their selection of craft beers and fine wines is amazing! We just had breakfast there today and you can trust me when I say that the bacon is perfect. I'm particular about my bacon and it was such a nice treat. Family-owned and run by hard-working people that really care. They have a big screen TV and free Wi-Fi too. I could sit there and drink coffee all day! We love it.

Really GOOD food!! Atmosphere is very casual and fun. The owners work extremely hard while keeping a smile and a sense of humor close by. You want wine?? Amazing wine selection. Beer? Lots to choose from. Fantastic breakfast, try the Land O Lakes Omelette. For lunch/dinner my wife loves the BLT Pizza. Great salads, Panini's, Burgers and Tacos. I think they have a Friday fish fry we haven't tried yet. We've had have a cabin in the area for 14 years. We stop here at least once each time we go to the cabin, sometimes more. Our kids love it too. Don't let a full parking lot scare you away, there's usually somewhere to sit. And there is additional parking across the road. Wifi is free. It's right on the bike trail and snowmobile trail. Can't go wrong.

My family rents a cabin nearby every summer, the UP is beautiful area year around. I've been coming to the Forest Lake Country Store this week to work since they have free WiFi and are open earlier than other places in the area with WiFi (Bent's Camp, Land O'Lakes Library). I've had breakfast here twice this week, oatmeal and veggie omelet were both good, as well as the coffee. WiFi is fast, seemed to be faster/better than the library. The place does fill up quick, I've been moving to the back patio so that other patrons can dine. Not quite sure if the owners are annoyed with me, since they seem to treat me like I am here to squat the WiFi...which I am doing somewhat. Stupid ATT, their coverage map states they have service throughout the area but they don't, so my mobile hotspot doesn't work. This place also has a nice selection of craft beers and other items.

When I come up to northern Wisconsin to visit my family, I love stopping by the Country Store! They are always so welcoming and make you feel part of their family! The craft beer and wine selection will make you forget your in the north woods because Mark has such a wide variety of great choices. I love coming here for drinks and snacks and playing cards before getting a delicious fish fry dinner. You can't beat the convenience or quality of the Country Store!

You want it? They've got it! And all served up with a smile and warm welcome. The Forest Lake Country Store treats everyone walking through their doors like family. Wonderful wine and beer selection, great breakfasts, lunches and Chris's famous pizzas for dinner are so...good! We always call ahead and pick up the pizza on our way to the cabin. And now what you really need to try is their Friday night fish fry.....pan fried walley made to perfection...best in the North Woods!!!

I really want to give this place another chance so I'm giving it three stars but it should have been two. Parking lot was crowded and tough to navigate especially if you were older or had kids or babies to take out. When we walked in no one greeted us. We showed ourselves to a dirty table and ten minutes later were passed one menu for four of us to share. Still sitting at dirty Table. Finally a server comes over and asks us if we were ready to order. We had to ask for table to be cleaned. We ordered and were told you get your own drinks. Fine. We had biscuits and gravy and typical eggs. Hash and bacon with toast. I asked for onions to be added to hash browns. Twenty minutes later one person was given their Italian omelet with a cup if microwave burned tomato paste on the side. Mine finally came. My cold hash browns were topped with raw diced onion. Like on a hot dog. The eggs were cooked right and the toast was good but the bacon was burned beyond being edible. The owner seemed very frazzled too. To be fair we came in at the end of breakfast do maybe that was it. The place was crowded so they must be doing something right. If I were asked how to fix this place i would suggest having people order at counter. Cafeteria style and give numbers out for food to be delivered quick service style. It would make it seem less disorganized. I have heard great things about the lunch in this place so I will go again. Maybe it was a bad day. They did have an amazing wine beer selection. And great cheeses. I feel like they served some small breakfast and people started coming s d they don't know how to manage the restaurant end. Make it cafeteria style eliminate a server. Get some bus boys and a food runner and put someone else in the kitchen. Have people order at the counter. Add in more bakery.
